An innovative method has been developed for studying the cryolithozone, searching for water and solving other geological problems at depths of at least 500 m. A virtual borehole is the result of processing of the Electromagnetic CDP (ECDP) data providing a vertical distribution of the electrical parameters of the medium (electromagnetic signal velocity, resistivity or permittivity) with a detail of 2-5 m in depth.
